Gus Ford has transitioned into cinematography after 20 years of working as a professional photographer in Redding, CT specializing in commercial travel, portrait, and landscape photography. His images have been published by New York Times, The Royal Academy of Arts, London, UK and others. In the past 3 years Ford has worked as a camera operator and a gaffer for “In Parenthesis” nonprofit film and theater company, shooting a feature length documentary “Socrates of Kamchatka” in Russia and a stop motion animation “Little Fiel” in Mozambique both written, directed, produced by Irina Patkanian. He also works as a camera operator for “Operation CMYK,” a new media production company in New York, shooting commissions for Mario Batali and Sourcemap among others and for the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art in Ridgefield, CT shooting online documentaries about artists. He was the official photographer for DNKL’s Tibetan Buddhist Center for Universal Peace and recorded the teaching of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Lincoln Center on October 21, 2013.
